Colgante nido

Buscando cosas para hacer las pulseras enrrolladas me encontré alambre dorado y plateado así que aproveché para hacer estos colgantes que quedan tan chulos. No he hecho el tutorial porque en Internet hay un montón, incluso vídeos!

El plateado lo he probado con un cordón de cuero y con una cadena de plata pero todavía no he decidido como me gusta más... y a vosotr@s?

When I was looking for supplies to make the wrapped bracelets I found golden and silver wire so I decided to make these wire wrapped bird's nest necklace that are so nice. I haven't made the "how to" because you can find hundreds of them on Internet, there are even video tutorials!

I've tried a leather cord and a silver chain for the silver one but I haven't decided yet which one I prefer... what do you think?

Pulseras enrrolladas

Llevaba tiempo queriendo hacer estas pulseras (que vi en este blog) pero nunca encontraba el momento hasta ahora, la verdad es que son muy fáciles de hacer y las acabas en un momento. Los cordones, tanto el de cuero como los encerados, ya los tenía, las tuercas para el cierre las encontré en la caja de herramientas y lo que más me costó fue encontrar la cadena de bolitas, en mi tienda de abalorios no tenían, en la ferretería encontré cadena del tapón del bidé pero era demasiado gruesa así que al final las cogí de unos llaveros viejos que tenía! Coste total 0 euros!!! Me encanta! Y son perfectas para verano!

I had wanted to make these bracelets (that I saw on this blog) for a long time  but I never found the right moment till now, they are really simple and fast to make. I've already had the cords, the leather and the waxed ones. I found the hex nuts in the toolbox but the ball chain wasn't so easy to find. My bead shop didn't have any so I went to the hardware store but the ones there were too thick so I finally got them from old key rings. Total cost 0 euros!! I love it! And I think they're perfect for the summer!

Tarjeta para mi padre

La semana pasada fue el cumpleaños de mi padre. Le encantan los coches antiguos así que busqué por Internet y encontré esta imagen que me pareció perfecta para él. El coche rojo está pintado con lápiz acuarelable y los otros dos están recortados. Los papeles que usé son de las colecciones Darling Dear de My Mind's Eye y This & That de Echo Park. Añadí Glossy Accent a los coches para darles un acabado brillante. Es más difícil hacer tarjetas masculinas pero ha quedado bastante bien y lo más importante a mi padre le encantó!

Last week was my dad's birthday. He loves old cars so I found this image on the Internet that was perfect for him. I painted the red car with watercolor pencils and for the other two I used the paper piecing technique to add interest to the card. The papers I used are Darling Dear by My Mind's Eye and This & That by Echo Park. I added Glossy Accent to the cars ro make them shine. It's more difficult to make masculine cards but I think this turned out quite good and most important my father loved it!

Globos con bombillas

Encontré esta idea para reciclar bombillas fundidas en Art drops y me pareció una idea estupenda así que hice mi versión y aquí las tenéis.

La azul oscura está pintada con pintura en spray y quedó francamente mejor pero sólo tenía ese color así que las otras las pinté con pintura acrílica. Para hacer la cesta de la lunares simplemente envolví el casquillo con cáñamo pero me dí cuenta de que quedaba un poco desastrado así que para las otras dos cubrí el casquillo con cartón para tener una superficie más uniforme y entonces los envolví con cáñamo. Las he colgado en una esquina del distribuidor y le ha dado un toque de color muy chulo.

I found this idea to recycle light bulbs on Art Drops and I thought it was a great idea so I made my own version and here they are:

All you need is:

Light bulbs

Paint (better spray)

Hemp

Fishing line

The dark one is painted with spray paint and it turned out much better than the other ones but since I only had that color I had to use acrylic paint to paint the rest. To make the wicker basket of the aqua one I wrapped the bulbholder with hemp but it turned out kind of messy so I covered the bulbholders with cardstock and then wrapped them with the hemp. I've hanged them up in my foyer and they give it a pretty touch of color.

Maleta renovada

Otro proyecto con retales de tela, esta vez una maleta que no sé muy bien como llegó a mi casa pero ahí estaba. Como veis no era demasiado bonita, pero con la nueva tela ha quedado estupenda! 

Por cierto que la tela era.. de un pijama, si es que no hay que tirar nada! :)

Another project using fabric scraps,  this time a suitcase that I don't remember how  it got to my home but there it was. As you can see it wasn't very nice but with a piece of fabric, some glue and a pair of scissors it turned out great! 

By the way, the fabric came from... a pair of pajamas, I never throw anything away! :)

Home Sweet Home

Este marco está en el recibidor de mi casa. Antes de pasar por mis manos era un marco de espejo... siento no tener fotos del antes pero creedme cuando os digo que era muy FEO! :) 

Utilicé unos trozos de tela que tenia por casa para forrarlo y pinté el borde de marrón para que combinara. Las letras que utilicé para el "home sweet home" son GrutchShaded. 

Fácil, rápido y chulo!

This frame is in my house's hall. It was a frame made of mirror, I'm sorry I haven't any before pictures but believe me when I say that it was really UGLY! :)

I used some fabric scraps that I already had to cover it and I painted the border with brown paint. The font I used to write "home sweet home" is GrutchShaded.

Easy, quick and cool!

Cumpleaños de chicas

El pasado junio fue el cumpleaños de una amiga y el santo de su hija así que decidí hacerles dos tarjetas para felicitarles, utilizando la misma imagen (Sun Kissed de Elisabeth Bell de Whimsy Stamps) que tuve la suerte de ganar hace un tiempo en el blog de la increíble Jacque. 

Last June was the birthday of one of my friends and her daughter's saint (I don't know if that can be said... ) so I decided to make two cards for them. I used the same image (Sun Kissed by Elisabeth Bell for Whimsy Stamps) that I luckily won some time ago on the blog of amazing Jacque.

Esta es la de mi amiga en la que utilicé papeles de la colección This & That por Lori Whitlock de Echo Park. Los pantalones, el parche, el borde de la camisa y el lazo del delantal están hechas de trozos de papel. La imagen la coloreé con lápices acuarelables y añadí un poco de Glossy Accent en las flores. La flor y las letras del feliz forman parte de una colección que Shelby de Color of Happy me mandó una vez que gané un regalo en su blog, son increíbles, verdad? El cumpleaños está escrito a mano con un rotulador de embossing y luego añadí polvos transparentes.

This one is my friend's one, I used papers of the This & That by Lori Whitcock collection for Echo Park. I paper pieced the trousers, the patch, part of the shirt and the apron's lace. I colored the image with watercolor pencils and I added Glossy Accent on the flowers. The flower and the Feliz letters are part of a collection that Shelby of Color of Happy sent me when I won a candy on her blog, they are soo cool! The cumpleaños letters are handwritten with an embossing pen, then I added clear embossing podwer.

Esta es la de la hija de mi amiga, los papeles son de un kit para hacer un calendario de Archiver's (uno de los regalos que gané en el blog de Shelby). La cinta me la envió Jacque. 

This is her daughter's, the papers are from a kit to make a calendar by Archiver's (one of the candies I won on Shelby's blog) The ribbon was sent by Jacque.

A mí me encanta como han quedado y lo más importante a ellas también!
