Anillos Ric Rac

I think this is my first post about rings and it's kind of weird cause I love them, I don't leave my house without wearing one of them. It's not so easy to make your own rings but this is an exception, it's easy, fast, cheap and it turns out great so it's the perfect project for this blog. I first saw this type of rings on Momma Rake's blog. She has posted some pics with the how to so if you like them, stop by her blog!
You just need rick rack (about 15 inches), a ring and some glue. Do you fancy doing it?

I don't like cold. I'm always cold in winter and I hate it. So leg warmers/boot socks are perfect for me! These are made from an old sweater. You just have to cut the sleeves and serge the raw edge. I added two flowers that I made with a scrap of felt to embellish them and that's how they look on me...

I love candles, the candle itself and the atmosphere that they create, so I love this project. And you have all the supplies at home so you don’t have to buy anything (I LOVE that) and it takes five minutes. As always it wasn’t my idea L I saw it on the blog "I love this...".
You can easily guess the how to: find a glass jar, some pages from an old book (I already ripped up one some time ago, and although I hate to ruin books cause I love them, I am making the most of it as this frame, this Christmas tree or these pictures…) and some hemp. You trace the form you want on the paper, cut it out, put the paper inside the jar, put a candle and you’re done! It's a bit lonely so I’m going to make some more to keep it company…

I can't remember where I saw a chalk sign with an old golden frame, the contrast looked great so when I found this frame I knew what I wanted to do with it. I still had  a part of the board I used to make this subway sign and I love how it turned out. Since my handwriting isn't very nice I tried to copy Halohandletter font, it isn't too bad to be my first attempt!

For New Year’s Eve dinner I’m going to give my girlfriends these mini purses, I’ll put them on the table on their plates, I think they are going to love them! I saw the idea on DeNami Design blog, if you like them you should stop by her blog because she made a video showing the how to. It’s quite easy, since I don’t have punches I made them with semi circle scissors, they don’t turn out so perfect but it’s ok. Inside I adhered a chocolate coin.
Happy New Year!!!

Fácil y bonito, no?

This Santa can be a coaster, an ornament, mine is hanging on my door, but my mom wanted it on her fridge so I added a magnet. The supplies are red and white foamy (the face is painted), black and red markers and a bit of paint. The fur of the hat is stuffing. Easy and cute isn't it?

My hands are always cold so this project is perfect for Christmas, very decorative and it’s also perfect for my hands. Three in one! There are hundreds of them on Internet so I guess everybody knows hot to make them but in case you don’t you just need some white and red felt, a piece of fabric that I found, threads and a button, cut 2 equal pieces of the fabric into any size or shape you like, sew the edges all the way around but leave a hole to pour the rice in, fill the pouch with rice, sew up the hole and you have your hand warmers.
I left them 30 seconds in the microwave ant they were quite hot (when you take them out the microwave it smells kind of funny but it doesn’t last long).

Some time ago I got this bag holder and it really comes in handy when you're in public places , I use it a lot (as you can guess from the scratches...) the thing is that although useful it wasn't very beautiful so I decided to improve it and with a scrap of paper, some glue and some Glossy Accent it turned out quite nice!

Subway Art

Cuanto tiempo... Pero he vuelto!

It's been a long time since my last post but I'm back!
I'd been wanting to make a subway art poster of which I've seen thousands on Internet so when I came across this board that someone had thrown away I thought it was perfect for the poster. I chose the line 1 of the Paris subway (Oh! Paris...)
First I created the poster on Photoshop, then I found this web that allows you to split the picture into DIN A4 sheets so you can print it at home. I glued the parts with tape and I turned the paper backwards and used a crayon to cover the letters. I traced the letters, and the board got stains which is great because I like the shabby look. After that I filled the letters with the crayon and voilà, j'ai mon affiche de la ligne 1! ;)
